You are bidding on an official American Library Association (ALA Publishing) poster from their Celebrity READ campaign.  Created by the ALA in 1985, each READ poster features a famous person posing with their favorite book (or books).  All celebrities are chosen because of his/her popularity, appeal and visibility to a general audience.  The ALA tries to feature a range of diverse talent who would be great spokespersons for reading to both adults and children.  If you've ever visited your local library (which you hopefully have), you've probably seen a poster like this with an actor, musician or other star persona spotlighted.

This particular poster features George Burns holding his autobiography Dear George: Advice and Answers from America's Leading Expert on Everything from A to B ...and one of his trademark cigars!  This was part of the second series in ALA's Celebrity READ posters, released in 1986 (the two celebs from the 2nd set were
Goldie Hawn and George).

A great back-to-school gift, for your child's room or college dorm...or, celebrate the kids leaving the nest by turning their old room into your new study/library, and hang this fantastic poster there!

CONDITION:

I would consider this poster excellent, suitable for framing.  However, because of its age it cannot be considered "mint."  It is a bit wavy from rolled storage, but I would imagine it could be flattened, and should be no issue if framed.  No evidence of tape removal or tack marks from being displayed, and the corners are all still sharp.
